Process for Updating Mobile Number:
Step 1: Updating Mobile Number with Divisional Head
If you're a Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) planning a transfer, the initial step is crucial. You need to update your mobile number with your Divisional Head through the Rule 3 Transfer Portal. This update is essential as it enables you to create your login credentials. Without a valid mobile number on record, you won't be able to apply for a transfer using the limited transfer facility.
Login Process:
Step 2: Logging into the Portal
Once your mobile number is updated, you can log in to the portal using your mobile number as your login ID. For added security, your password details will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Eligibility:
Step 3: Checking Eligibility
After successfully creating your user credentials, any GDS who has completed at least one year of engagement becomes eligible to apply online for a transfer.
Choosing Your Preferences:
Step 4: Selecting Post Preferences
When applying, you have the opportunity to select a maximum of ten posts in order of preference within one Division in any Circle. Your transfer will be considered for one of the posts you indicate, in the order of preference you specify.

In the event that you are not accommodated in your requested posts, you can reapply in the next monthly cycle of the online engagement.
