1. Recruitment Rules and Validity
The Recruitment Rules for the Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) cadre were issued in the AAO Notification dated 02.04.2018. The eligibility criteria mentioned in the Notification dated 02.04.2018 remain applicable for the year 2022 and subsequent years.
2. Eligibility Criteria
All officials of the Department of Posts or Department of Telecommunications in Group 'C' cadre, possessing a bachelor's degree from a recognized University or Institute, are eligible for the AAO examination.
3. Eligible Categories
Group "C" officials are the only category eligible to appear in the AAO Examination. Therefore, HSG-II, HSG-I, IP, and ASPOs are not eligible to participate in the AAO Examination.
